Branding for Xurros Handcrafted Spanish Donuts

 

Xurros is a food truck selling Spanish-style churros located in Springfield, Missouri. We started working together before they first opened their doors in April 2021. We collaborated to develop the branding and have continued our relationship as the business has taken off.

The target market for Xurros is college-aged individuals and young families aged 25-35 with children. Based on this, we opted to go with bright, fun colors and craft a vibrant personality.

Website

Xurros has a unique story and we’ve used every opportunity to tell it. The website needed functionality, such as showing our menu, hours, and location, while also showcasing the personality of the brand and telling their story. With a limited budget, we opted to include all the relevant information on one page while keeping it simple and clean with pops of color.

Menu

The menu continues with the same simplistic theme and pops of color. To achieve a clean look, one font is used throughout with varying emphases and cases. The green box is employed to highlight new or seasonal items while adding an additional dimension to the menu.

Business Cards

Our business cards were created to complement the rest of our branding. The front is simple, giving all the attention to the logo. The back has our signature green and utilizes our clean, sleek brand front. The double border is a common fixture in our social media posts and is used to tie the card together.

Colors

When researching dessert brands, we noticed how many companies incorporated bright pops of color and paired them with neutrals. This led us to develop our color palette with greens and yellows. It complemented the browns in our logo and showed our audience we’re a fun, vibrant brand.
